The scroll attributes allow you to specify that a region will have a horizontal and/or vertical scroll bar associated with it. The vertical scroll bar, with solid arrows and a slider, is displayed on the outer right edge of the region's viewport. The horizontal scroll bar, with solid arrows and a slider, is displayed below the region's viewport. The user can set the scroll arrow color in the operating system Control Panel.

If there is information outside the region's window, a slider is drawn inside the scroll bar, showing the user where in the region the window is, compared with the available information. The user can either select the scroll arrows or click on the slider and drag it to a new position to change the window position.

When the arrow is selected, the region is scrolled by the number of window coordinates you specified. In order to move a full page, the user can select the area between the slider and the scroll arrows. The page increment used is the X or Y window size minus one scroll increment. The user can use the operating system to change the color of the scroll bars.
