"PASSTHROUGH"
Turns Pass through mode on. By default ESL uses Text mode to print a file. If you have any escape sequences in the file, you must use Pass through mode. The Pass through mode is typically used when the file to be printed has been created for the specific printer and contains non-ASCII characters used to control the printer.
In Pass through mode, ESLPR.EXE passes each byte from the specified file to the Windows Printer Spooler, without any modification.
As an ESL Developer, you must ensure the content of the print file is acceptable to the target printer.
PASSTHROUGH and the following commands are mutually exclusive:
•TOP
•FONT
Example
send "FILE c:\\Print.prn PASSTHROUGH\n" to PRINTER_LA
