The following table lists other keys that are useful when using table objects. These keys are not active if the table or current column is set to read-only.

 

Key

Behavior

F2

Edit the current cell. (This is the default for Edit, but you can redefine the key used for this action.)

Printing character

Enter a new value in the current cell. This replaces the current value with the character typed.

Backspace

Erase the value in the current cell and stay in edit mode.

Return

Accept the current contents of the cell (edit mode only). See Navigation Keys.

Escape

Cancel the edit and restore the previous contents of the cell (edit mode only).
