Use this dialog box to create a new SQL Access Module (SAM).
Name |
Enter a 1 to 8 character name that specifies the name of the SAM. This is a required field. DB/Assist appends the extension .SAM to this base name. The SAM name must conform to the rules for naming ESL identifiers. See the Programming Guide for the EASEL Language for more information.

Database |
Lists the available databases. Select the database to be associated with the SAM. This is a required field.

Description |
Enter a description of the SAM. This is optional and can be any length.

OK |
Creates the SAM, connects to the selected database, and associates the database with the SAM. All SQL statements built while using this SAM will use the selected database. If you have not already logged on to DB2, the Logon dialog box appears.

Cancel |
Closes the dialog box without performing any action.

Displays help for the dialog box.

Display this dialog box by selecting SQL Access Module> New or the New SAM button.
