Q5 Why doesn’t ESLCICS work when we install ESL on a new workstation?

As the ESLCICS is supplied as a beta, the Dynamic Link Library and Include files have to be requested from the Help Desk to prevent them being used with due caution.

To enable a Developer to compile an ESL application, the file “ESLCICS.INC” must either be copied from the downloaded zip file that has been supplied to the main include directory “…\Include”, or INCPATH parameter located in the ESL configuration file, typically “EslConfig.ini”, must be extended to incorporate the directory where you have extracted the include file.

When running the ESL application, the ESLCICS.DLL file must be extracted to a directory, which is included in the “PATH” environment variable. With a Client Services (Runtime) installation, you must extract the ESLCICS.DLL file from the supplied zip file to the main Esl Runtime directory (i.e. The directory containing the executable Eslrun.exe).
