A common place to use priority is with sense regions. Sense regions are often used to allow selection of a new position for an object. Because a sense region has no visual contents, it does not obscure other objects. Unless you give it a priority higher than other objects, it remains behind them and ESL takes responses to them rather than to the sense region when repositioning objects.
