All of the functions related to size or position return integer values; thus, they can be used as operands in arithmetic expressions or can be compared to integer values in relational expressions.

Note that since a region's border is not part of a region's contents, it does not affect any of the functions that inquire about a region's size or position.

These functions work for textual regions exactly as they do for graphical objects, but the results that are returned are column and line numbers rather than X Y coordinates.
