With the shape statement, you can create intricate images, such as a company logo. Although you can define many images by specifying any of the statements described thus far, the shape statement provides you with additional graphics capabilities. For example, you can draw a shape in one color and fill it with another color, fill an exterior boundary with color and create "holes", or draw a shape that contains arcs.

This section introduces two types of drawing statements that are used only within boundaries of shapes. The draw arc statement allows you to specify, as part of a boundary, an arc. An arc is a curved line, which is a segment of a circle. The move arc statements allow you to move the graphics cursor in an arc without drawing an arc.
