You can also define a screen size to use dialog units. Dialog units are proportional to the size of the Windows system font. A dialog unit is defined to be one-quarter of the average width and one-eighth of the maximum height of the system font.

This is especially useful for applications that will run on different resolutions. If you use the system font in these applications, the application will appear with the same proportions on monitors with different resolutions.
