By default, the only tables and views displayed in the statement construction dialog boxes are those created by the user ID you specified in the DB2 Logon dialog box, as described in Creating a New SAM. In addition, no system tables are displayed.

To change the default options for displaying tables, views, and system tables in the statement construction dialog boxes, use the Table and Result Options dialog box, as described in Setting Table and Result Options.

As the SQL statement built with the construction dialog boxes use Table Aliases, you can build and run statements that use tables whose creator are different from your user ID, provide you have the required level of authorization for the tables you are using. If you delete the Table Aliases or manually construct the SQL statements without using Aliases, then DB2 will assume that you wish to use tables created by your DB2 logon ID.
