DB/Assist is installed as part of ESL Development Tools. Once you install it, you can start DB/Assist from the Windows "Start Menu", where a short-cut will be located in the ESL folder.
The DB/Assist Main Window appears, as shown below.
The New SAM and Open SAM buttons are enabled so you can create a new SAM or open an existing SAM

You can run only one DB/Assist session at a time. Do not attempt to run two DB/Assist sessions concurrently.
If a DB2 Client has not been installed on the computer prior to starting DB/Assist, then the IBM DB2 library "DB2APP", will not be found, which will prevent you from using DB/Assist.
